Chocolate Sheath Cake

Ingredients:

  1. 2 cups - flour
  2. 2 cups - sugar
  3. 1 teaspoons - salt
  4. 2 sticks - oleo
  5. 3 tablespoons - cocoa
  6. 1 cups - hot water
  7. 1/2 cups - buttermilk
  8. 2 - eggs beaten
  9. 1 teaspoons - cinnamon
  10. 1 teaspoons - vanilla
  11. 1 cups - chopped pecans

Directions:

Sift together in large bowl the flour, sugar, and salt.

In a saucepan on stove, melt oleo and mix with cocoa and hot water. Bring to a boil and then pour over dry ingredients in bowl; mix well.

Stir in buttermilk, beaten eggs, cinnamon, vanilla, and pecans and stir until thoroughly combined.

Pour mixture into sheet cake pan (large baking pan with 1-inch sides) and bake for 25 minutes at 400 degrees F.

Pour topping over cake at once, as soon as removed from oven. Cool, then serve.
