Chocolate Sheet Cake

Ingredients:

  1. 2 cups - Sugar
  2. 2 cups - Flour
  3. 2 sticks - Butter
  4. 4 tablespoons - Cocoa
  5. 1 cups - Water
  6. 1/2 cups - Buttermilk
  7. 2 whole - Eggs slightly beaten
  8. 1 teaspoons - Soda
  9. 1 teaspoons - Cinnamon
  10. 1 teaspoons - Vanilla
  11. 1 sticks - Butter
  12. 6 tablespoons - Milk
  13. 4 tablespoons - Cocoa
  14. 1 boxes - Powdered Sugar
  15. 1 teaspoons - Vanilla
  16. 1 cups - Nuts

Directions:

Preheat oven to 400°. Grease an 11" x 16" x 1/2" pan (or cookie sheet with sides).

Sift together the sugar and flour. In saucepan, mix butter, cocoa, and water. Bring to a rapid boil. Pour over flower and sugar. Stir until well mixed. Add the remaining cake ingredients and mix well. Pour into prepared pan. Bake for 20 minutes (longer for 13" x 9" cake).

Icing:
Melt together butter, milk, and cocoa; bring to a boil. Remove from heat and add sugar, vanilla, and nuts. Beat with spoon or mixer. Pour icing on cake while hot.
