Number of Servings:
Ingredients:
- 3 ounces - dark chocolate
- 3 - medium eggs separated
- 3 1/2 tablespoons - artificial sweetener to taste
- 1 1/2 teaspoons - finely grated orange zest to taste
- 2 tablespoons - brandy level tablespoons
- 1 teaspoons - cocoa powder level tsp, to serve
Directions:
Break the chocolate into small pieces and place in a large, heatproof bowl. Set the bowl over a pan of gently simmering water to melt the chocolate. Remove from the heat and allow to cool slightly at room temperature.
Meanwhile, whisk the egg whites in a large bowl until stiff, but not too dry.
In a separate bowl, whisk together the egg yolks, sweetener, orange zest, and brandy; then spoon into the melted chocolate, mixing well.
Using a metal spoon, fold the egg whites into the chocolate mixture until well combined.
Divide between 4 individual ramekins or sundae glasses and chill for 3–4 hours, or until set. Before serving, lightly dust each mousse with cocoa powder.
