Ingredients:

  1. 2 cups - Brown Sugar
  2. 1 cups - Crisco
  3. 2 whole - Eggs
  4. 1 cups - Buttermilk or Sour Milk
  5. 1/2 teaspoons - Baking Soda
  6. 1/2 teaspoons - Baking Powder
  7. 1 cups - Cocoa
  8. 3 cups - Flour
  9. 1 1/4 cups - Nuts Chopped
  10. 1 teaspoons - Vanilla

Directions:

Toast nuts in 300-350 F oven for about 10 minutes.
Cream Sugar and Crisco. Add Eggs, then add Flour and Milk, alternating.
Mix Nuts in.
Drop by teaspoonful onto greased cookie sheet.

Bake at 325F oven for 12 minutes.
Ice while hot (simple confections sugar/water glaze).
