All cookies are not created equal. Miss Arlene challenged our thinking when she delivered a plate of these cookies to our home when our kids were little. I couldn't believe it when she agreed to share the recipe with me, because I never thought secret recipes were supposed to be shared!?! She was the best neighbor down the street and we only make these cookies for the most special people in our life - and we will always share the recipe and give credit to Miss Arlene.

Ingredients:
- 4 1/2 cups - all-purpose flour
- 2 teaspoons - baking soda
- 2 cups - softened butter
- 1 1/2 cups - packed brown sugar
- 1/2 cups - white sugar
- 2 packages - 3.4 oz. each vanilla instant pudding
- 4 - eggs
- 1 teaspoons - vanilla
- 2 cups - chocolate chips or more, as desired
Directions:
Sift together the flour and baking soda and set aside. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
Cream together butter and sugars; add in the flour mixture.
Then add eggs, vanilla and instant pudding. Mix well.
Stir in chocolate chips, and drop dough by spoonfuls onto cookie sheet.
Bake for 10 to 12 minutes, until your desired doneness.
