Ingredients:
- 1 packages - Chocolate Cake Mix (19 oz.)
- 1 cups - Sour Milk or Buttermilk*
- 1/2 teaspoons - Baking Soda
- 1 cans - Applesauce (16 oz.)
- 1 cups - Chocolate Chips
- 1/2 cups - Nuts chopped
- 1/4 cups - Sugar
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350°. Grease and lightly flour 13" x 9" x 2" baking pan.
Place baking soda in sour milk. Combine cake mix, milk with soda, and applesauce. Beat until smooth. Pour into prepared pan. Combine chocolate chips, nuts, and sugar and sprinkle over top. Bake 40 minutes or until cake tests done.
*To make sour milk, pour 1 tablespoon of vinegar or lemon juice into 1 cup measure and fill with milk. Let sit for 5 minutes.
