Homemade noodles are made with simple beaten eggs w/ flour. Add enough flour to make a stiff dough, roll out thin and cut into thin noodles. Allow to dry while soup is cooking. For a whole chicken, use three eggs to make enough noodles.

Ingredients:
- 1 packages - 12-oz. pkg. noodles or dumplings**
- 1 whole - Chicken
- 4 stalks - Celery Chopped
- 1 - Large onion Chopped
- 3 cloves - Garlic Chopped
- 1 teaspoons - Whole cloves
- 1 teaspoons - Whole allspice
- 1/3 - Whole nutmeg
- 1 - Heaping tsp. black peppercorns
- - Salt, to taste
Directions:
1. Put chicken in large pot. Add enough water to cover chicken. Add celery, onion and garlic.
2. Make a spice bag with cheesecloth or a coffee filter and put cloves, allspice, nutmeg and peppercorns in bag; tie bag to close. Add to pot.
3. Bring just to a boil, then reduce heat to a simmer and cook until chicken starts falling apart (abt. 1 1/2 hrs.).
4. Remove spice bag and chicken, leaving vegetables in stock. Debone chicken, discarding skin and bones. Chop chicken, add back to stock, and add salt. Add noodles or dumplings and cook until tender.
