Chicken Casserole

Ingredients:

  1. 3 cups - (10 oz.) spaghetti broken into 2-inch pieces
  2. 3 cups - to 4 cups cooked chicken bite size pieces
  3. 1 boxes - frozen peas (about 2 cups)
  4. 1 - small onion (3/4 to 1 cup chopped) chopped finely
  5. 2 cans - cream of mushroom soup
  6. 1/2 cups - chicken broth
  7. 1 cans - 8 oz. sliced water chestnuts
  8. 1 teaspoons - salt
  9. 1/4 teaspoons - pepper
  10. 3 cups - sharp cheddar cheese grated, divided
  11. 1 cans - 6 oz. Durkee French-fried onions

Directions:

Cook spaghetti and drain. Add chicken, peas, onion, mushroom soup, broth, water chestnuts, salt and pepper and cheese - reserving 1 cup of cheese for topping. Mix well.

Spread into 9-x-13-inch pan. Bake, uncovered, at 350 degrees F for about 45 minutes or until bubbly. During last 10 minutes of baking, top with remaining cheese and French-fried onions.
