Chewy Chocolate Chip & Peanut Butter Cookies

Ingredients:

  1. 1/2 cups - salted butter
  2. 1/2 cups - shortening
  3. 1/4 cups - peanut butter
  4. cups - brown sugar
  5. 2 cups - sugar divided
  6. 1 teaspoons - vanilla
  7. 2 - eggs
  8. 2 1/2 cups - flour
  9. 3 tablespoons - dark cocoa powder
  10. 1 teaspoons - baking soda
  11. 1/2 teaspoons - salt
  12. 3 cups - dark chocolate chips

Directions:

Heat oven to 375° F. Beat butter, shortening, and peanut butter until light and creamy. Add brown sugar, one cup of sugar, and vanilla; beat until creamy and well mixed.
Add eggs one at a time.
In a separate bowl, combine salt, flour, cocoa powder and baking soda; gradually add to butter mixture.
Stir in chips by hand until thoroughly mixed. Scoop out in 1.5 oz. balls. Then roll in hands, roll into 1 cup sugar, evenly coating the balls and place them evenly spaced onto a baking sheet.
Bake 10-12 minutes or until puffed up and cracked slightly.
