Cherry Snowballs

Ingredients:

  1. 1 cups - butter
  2. 1/4 cups - icing powdered sugar
  3. 2 cups - flour
  4. 1/4 teaspoons - salt
  5. 1 cups - finely chopped almonds
  6. 1 teaspoons - vanilla
  7. 1/2 pounds - whole candied cherries
  8. - fine granulated sugar for rolling

Directions:

Cream together butter and sugar. Add flour, salt, almonds and vanilla.

Use about 1 teaspoon of mixture to cover each whole candied cherry.

Cook on greased cookie sheet at 325 degrees F for about 35 minutes.

Roll in fine granulated sugar while still hot.
