Ingredients:

  1. 1 cups - Butter
  2. 1 3/4 cups - Sugar
  3. 4 - Eggs
  4. 3 cups - Flour
  5. 1/2 teaspoons - Baking powder
  6. 1 teaspoons - Salt
  7. 1 teaspoons - Vanilla
  8. 1 cans - Cherry pie filling
  9. 1 cups - Butter
  10. 1 3/4 cups - Sugar
  11. 4 - Eggs
  12. 3 cups - Flour
  13. 1/2 teaspoons - Baking powder
  14. 1 teaspoons - Salt
  15. 1 teaspoons - Vanilla
  16. 1 cans - Cherry pie filling

Directions:

Cream together butter and sugar. Add 1 egg at a time Sift together flour, baking powder, and salt. Add to butter mixture then add vanilla. Put 2/3 batter in a jelly roll pan spread out and top with pie filling. Drop rest of batter by spoonful over cherries. Bake 25-30 min at 350 oven. Make glaze from 1 cup powdered sugar, 1 teaspoon almond, 2 tablespoons hot water. Stir together and drizzle over cake
