Cheesy Hominy and Green Chiles

Brief Description
This is a great side dish with steak, chicken or pork; serve it with chili and let guests spoon a couple tablespoons into the bowl of chili along with some raw onion, cheese and sour cream.

Ingredients:
- 1 cans - 29 oz. hominy (white or yellow)
- 2 tablespoons - diced green chiles (about 1/2 to 3/4 small can)
- 6 ounces - to 8 oz. heavy whipping cream
- 1 tablespoons - minced garlic
- 1 1/2 tablespoons - butter
- 1 tablespoons - olive oil
- - pepper and salt (I like garlic salt) to taste
- 8 ounces - colby jack cheese shredded
- 1 tablespoons - chopped chives fresh or dried
Directions:
1. Drain hominy. Place hominy, minced garlic, green chiles, softened butter, olive oil and pepper and salt in a small baking dish (8-x-8-inches or similar). Mix all ingredients together.
2. Smooth ingredients out and pour cream over the top. Spread cheese over this mixture. Sprinkle chives over the cheese.
3. Bake at 350° F for 25 minutes or until cheese begins to brown.
