Ingredients:
- 3 tablespoons - butter
- 1/2 cups - corn syrup
- 1 teaspoons - green food coloring
- 3 tablespoons - granulated sugar
- 3 1/2 cups - corn flakes
- - brightly colored smarties
- - silver sprinkles
- - 1-inch chocolate bar for trunk
Directions:
Prepare cookie sheet (at least 9-x-13-inch pan); cover with buttered foil.
Into saucepan put butter, corn syrup, food coloring and sugar. Stir well and bring to a boil for 5 minutes.
Remove from heat and gently stir in corn flakes until all are coated green.
Tip the mixture into the middle of the foil, and with buttered fingers quickly shape into elongated triangle.
Decorate immediately with smarties and silver sprinkles. Insert 1-inch chocolate bar at bottom to represent tree trunk.
