Ingredients:

  1. 1/2 cups - butter
  2. 1/2 cups - margarine
  3. 1 cups - 10x sugar
  4. 1 - egg
  5. 1 1/2 teaspoons - almond extract
  6. 1 teaspoons - vanilla
  7. 2 1/2 cups - flour
  8. 1 teaspoons - salt
  9. 1/2 teaspoons - red food coloring
  10. 1/2 cups - crushed peppermint candy
  11. 1/2 cups - sugar
  12. 1/2 cups - butter
  13. 1/2 cups - margarine
  14. 1 cups - 10x sugar
  15. 1 - egg
  16. 1 1/2 teaspoons - almond extract
  17. 1 teaspoons - vanilla
  18. 2 1/2 cups - flour
  19. 1 teaspoons - salt
  20. 1/2 teaspoons - red food coloring
  21. 1/2 cups - crushed peppermint candy
  22. 1/2 cups - sugar

Directions:

Mix all ingredients except food coloring.

Divide dough in 1/2. Put food coloring in half. Make 4-inch strips.

Bake at 375 degrees F for 9 minutes on ungreased baking sheet.
