Candy Cane Cookies

Ingredients:

  1. 1/2 cups - Crisco
  2. 1/2 cups - margarine
  3. 1 cups - powdered sugar
  4. 1 - egg
  5. 1 1/2 teaspoons - almond extract
  6. 1 teaspoons - vanilla
  7. 2 1/2 cups - flour
  8. 1 teaspoons - salt
  9. 1/2 teaspoons - red food coloring

Directions:

Mix together Crisco, margarine, powdered sugar, egg, almond extract and vanilla. Stir in flour and salt until thoroughly mixed.
Divide dough in half. Add red food coloring to one half of dough.
Roll dough into candy cane shapes. Bake at 375° F for 9 minutes.
