Butterscotch Granola Coffee Cake

Ingredients:

  1. 1 1/4 cups - all-purpose flour
  2. 1/2 cups - sugar
  3. 3/4 cups - sour cream
  4. 1/2 cups - butter softened
  5. 3/4 teaspoons - baking soda
  6. 3/4 teaspoons - baking powder
  7. 1/2 teaspoons - salt
  8. 1/2 teaspoons - grated orange peel
  9. 3 - eggs
  10. 1 cups - granola
  11. 1/2 cups - Nestle Butterscotch flavored morsels
  12. 1/2 cups - chopped nuts
  13. 1/2 teaspoons - cinnamon
  14. 1/3 cups - Nestle Butterscotch flavored morsels
  15. 1 tablespoons - butter
  16. 2 teaspoons - half and half
  17. 2 tablespoons - finely chopped nuts for topping, optional

Directions:

For Filling: Combine filling ingredients in a small bowl and set aside.

For Cake:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Mix flour, sugar, sour cream, butter, baking soda, baking powder, salt, orange peel and eggs thoroughly; stir in granola.

Spread half of batter in greased 9-inch square pan; sprinkle with Butterscotch filling. Top with remaining batter.

Bake until crust is golden brown, about 30 minutes; cool completely.

For Glaze:
Heat butterscotch morsels, butter and half-and-half over medium heat and stir until smooth.

Drizzle cake with glaze; sprinkle with nuts, if desired.
