Butterscotch Brownies

Ingredients:

  1. 1 cups - butter
  2. 1 packages - 11 oz. butterscotch morsels
  3. 2 1/2 cups - firmly packed brown sugar
  4. 3 - large eggs lightly beaten
  5. 1 teaspoons - vanila extract
  6. 2 1/2 cups - all-purpose flour
  7. 1 1/2 teaspoons - baking powder
  8. 1 teaspoons - salt
  9. 1 cups - chopped pecans

Directions:

1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Lightly grease a 15-x-11-x-1 inch pan.

2. In a microwave safe bowl, combine butter and butterscotch morsels. Microwave at high (100 percent) in 30-second intervals, stirring after each, until morsels are melted (about 1-1/2 minutes).

3. In a large bowl, combine brown sugar and eggs, stirring well. Add vanilla and melted butter mixture, stirring to combine.

4. In a small bowl, combine flour, baking powder and salt. Gradually add to batter, stirring until smooth. Stir in pecans.

5. Pour batter into prepared pan. Bake for 30 minutes. Allow to cool and cut into squares to serve.
