Butter Beans, Italian Sausage, and Chard Pan Stew

Ingredients:

  1. 1 tablespoons - olive oil
  2. 4 - cooked sweet Italian chicken sausage links (3 oz. each) sliced or cut up
  3. 1 - medium onion cut into thin wedges
  4. 2 tablespoons - fresh oregano leaves
  5. 2 cloves - garlic, minced
  6. 1 cups - reduced-sodium chicken broth
  7. 12 cups - fresh Swiss chard stemmed and torn
  8. 1 cans - 15 ounces butter beans rinsed and drained
  9. 2 tablespoons - balsamic vinegar
  10. -   Shaved Parmesan cheese

Directions:

In a very large skillet heat oil over medium heat. Add sausage and onion wedges; cook and stir 6 to 8 minutes or until browned.

Add oregano and garlic to skillet. Cook for 1 minute. Add broth. Bring to boiling; reduce heat. Boil gently, uncovered, 3 to 4 minutes or until reduced by about half.

Gradually add greens, tossing until wilted before adding more. Add butter beans and vinegar; heat through.

Sprinkle with cheese.
