Ingredients:

  1. 16 slices - bread crusts cut off
  2. 8 slices - Canadian bacon
  3. 8 slices - American or cheddar cheese
  4. 1/4 cups - chopped green pepper
  5. 1/4 cups - chopped onion
  6. 1 cans - mushrooms (large can)
  7. 6 - eggs
  8. 3 cups - milk
  9. 1 teaspoons - Worcestershire sauce
  10. - dash of salt and pepper
  11. 3/4 sticks - butter
  12. - crushed potato chips or corn flakes for topping

Directions:

Place 8 slices of bread in bottom of 9-x-13-inch pan.

Layer bacon, peppers, onion, mushrooms and cheese. Top with remaining slices of bread.

Beat together eggs, milk, Worcestershire sauce, salt and pepper, and pour over the bread. Cover and refrigerate overnight.

Before placing in oven, melt the butter and pour over casserole. Top with crushed potato chips or corn flakes.

Bake for 1 hour at 350 degrees F. Let stand for 5 minutes before cutting into it.
