Ingredients:
- 2 1/2 cups - herbed croutons
- 2 cups - grated medium sharp cheddar cheese
- 2 pounds - sausage or 1 pound, to taste
- 4 - eggs
- 3/4 teaspoons - dry mustard
- 2 1/2 cups - milk
- 1 cups - mushroom soup (or 1 can - as desired)
- 4 ounces - canned sliced mushrooms
Directions:
Place croutons in greased 8-x-8-x-2-inch baking dish.
Place cheese and cooked sausage in layers over top.
Beat eggs and mix with rest of ingredients; pour over sausage.
Either refrigerate overnight or cook 1 to 1-1/2 hours ahead and reheat or finish cooking in the morning.
Bake at 300 degrees F for 1-1/2 hours OR cook on high for 20-25 minutes in microwave.
