Notes:
To make dry bread cubes, cut fresh bread into 1/2-inch cubes. Spread cubes in a 15x10-inch baking pan. Bake in a 300 degrees F oven for 10-15 minutes or until cubes are dry, stirring twice; cool.

Ingredients:
- 2 stalks - celery finely chopped
- 1 - medium onion chopped
- 1/2 cups - butter
- 1 cups - pecans chopped
- 2 tablespoons - fresh thyme snipped
- 1/2 teaspoons - salt
- 1/4 teaspoons - pepper
- 8 cups - dry bread cubes from a hearty loaf
- 2 tablespoons - bourbon
- 1 cups - turkey or chicken broth
Directions:
Preheat oven to 325 degrees F. In a small skillet, cook celery and onion in hot butter until tender. Stir in pecans and thyme. Sprinkle with salt and pepper. Place bread cubes and vegetables in a large bowl. Drizzle with bourbon and enough broth to moisten (3/4 to 1 cup), tossing to combine.
Place in a 2-quart baking dish. Bake, uncovered, for 50-55 minutes or until bread on top begins to crisp.
