Ingredients:
- 3 cups - blueberries
- 1 tablespoons - sugar
- 2 tablespoons - water
- 1 tablespoons - lemon juice
- 1/2 teaspoons - cinnamon
- 1 cups - all-purpose flour
- 1 cups - quick oats
- 1 cups - packed brown sugar
- 1/2 teaspoons - ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoons - baking soda
- 1/4 cups - butter or soft margarine melted
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
In a medium saucepan, combine blueberries, sugar, water, lemon juice and cinnamon. Bring to a boil.
Reduce heat and simmer uncovered about 8 minutes or until slightly thickened, stirring frequently. Remove from heat and set aside.
In a large mixing bowl, stir together flour, oats, brown sugar, cinnamon and baking soda. Stir in the melted butter until thoroughly combined.
Set aside 1 cup of the oat mixture for topping. Press remaining oat mixture into an ungreased 9-inch square baking pan; bake for 12 minutes.
Carefully spread filling on top of baked crust. Then sprinkle reserved oat mixture on top, lightly pressing the oat mixture into the filling.
Bake for another 20 to 25 minutes or until topping is set.
