Beef Stroganoff in the Crock Pot

Ingredients:

  1. 2 pounds - beef tenderloin steak cut into strips
  2. 1 - large onion (about 1 cup) chopped
  3. 8 ounces - fresh mushrooms sliced
  4. 1/2 teaspoons - pepper
  5. 1 1/2 cups - beef broth
  6. 1 tablespoons - Worcestershire sauce
  7. 1/2 teaspoons - garlic powder
  8. 1/2 teaspoons - onion powder
  9. 6 tablespoons - flour
  10. 8 ounces - sour cream
  11. 6 cups - cooked brown rice for serving with

Directions:

Layer beef, onion, mushrooms and pepper into slow cooker.

Stir together the beef broth, Worcestershire, onion and garlic powders with flour, stirring with a whisk until flour is thoroughly mixed in. Pour this mixture over ingredients in crock pot.

Cover and cook on low heat for 8 to 10 hours or until beef is very tender.

Stir sour cream into beef mixture until mixed into sauce well; allow to cook for 10 more minutes to thicken a bit.

Serve beef mixture over rice (or noodles, if preferred).
