Ingredients:
- 2 pounds - lean chuck roast
- 2 teaspoons - bacon drippings
- 2 - medium to large sweet onions sliced
- 1 1/2 teaspoons - flour
- 1 teaspoons - marjoram
- 1 teaspoons - thyme
- 1 cans - beef broth
- 1 1/2 cups - red wine
- 1/2 pounds - mushrooms sliced
Directions:
1. Sauté sliced onions in bacon drippings.
2. Cube beef and sauté.
3. Sprinkle in flour and herbs; add wine and beef broth.
4. Simmer 3-1/4 hours. Add in onions and sliced mushrooms and cook 20 minutes more.
