Batter Rolls

Ingredients:

  1. 3/4 cups - milk
  2. 1/4 cups - sugar
  3. 1 teaspoons - salt
  4. 1/4 cups - margarine
  5. 1/2 cups - warm water
  6. 2 packages - yeast
  7. 1 - egg
  8. 3 1/2 cups - flour

Directions:

Scald milk (hot, not boiling). Stir in sugar, salt and margarine. Stir in egg.

Dissolve yeast in water; mix with above.

Add flour (first 2 cups, add with mixer). Let sit 'til doubled in size (in a warm place).

Punch down; make into rolls. Put rolls in greased pans (two 8-inch round pans).

Let rise again. Bake at 400° F for 15 minutes.
