Basic Tart Dough

Ingredients:

  1. 1/2 cups - butter or margarine softened
  2. 1 packages - 3 oz. cream cheese softened
  3. 1 cups - all-purpose flour

Directions:

In large bowl, beat butter and cream cheese until smooth. Add flour, and mix until a soft dough form.s

Cover; chill at least 1 hour or overnight.

Preheat oven to 450 degrees F. Shape dough into 1-inch balls. Place each ball of dough in cups of ungreased mini-muffin pan. Dip a mini-tart shaper in flour; press into dough to form the tart shell.

Pierce tart shells with a fork; bake 10-12 minutes or until light golden brown. Carefully remove from mini-muffin pan to a cooling rack.

Cool completely; fill as desired.
