Ingredients:
- 2 cups - flour
- 2 tablespoons - sugar
- 3 teaspoons - baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoons - salt
- 6 tablespoons - cold butter
- 1 - egg slightly beaten
- 1/2 cups - milk
- - extra sugar for sprinkling on top
Directions:
In a bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder and salt.
Cut in the cold butter.
Add beaten egg and milk, adding only enough milk 'til mix follows fork in bowl.
Turn out on floured surface, knead gently 15 times. Cut dough in half.
Shape each half into 1/2-inch thick circle. Cut into 6 wedges. Brush with slightly beaten egg or cream. Sprinkle with sugar.
Bake on ungreased sheet at 425 degrees F for 10 to 12 minutes.
