Ingredients:
- 12 - pork spare ribs
- 2 cloves - garlic
- 4 tablespoons - dark brown sugar
- 4 tablespoons - light soy sauce
- 4 tablespoons - tomato paste
- 2 tablespoons - maple syrup or honey
- 1 teaspoons - prepared mustard
- - black pepper
Directions:
Crush the garlic. Put it in a bowl with the sugar, soy sauce, tomato paste, maple syrup, mustard and pepper. Whisk together well.
Lay the ribs in a shallow dish. Pour the sauce over the ribs, then let them marinate for at least 20 minutes.
Heat the broiler or barbecue until hot. Grill the ribs for about 15 minutes on each side. Brush with sauce, if needed.
Heat any sauce that is left over in a saucepan; let it simmer and serve it with the barbecued spare ribs.
