Banana Bread

Ingredients:

  1. 1/2 cups - (or 1 stick) butter
  2. 1/2 cups - brown sugar
  3. 1/2 cups - sugar
  4. 2 - eggs
  5. 1 teaspoons - vanilla
  6. 2 cups - sifted flour
  7. 1 teaspoons - baking soda
  8. 1/2 teaspoons - salt
  9. 1 cups - (about 3) mashed bananas
  10. 1 cups - chopped nuts (pecans)

Directions:

Cream together butter and sugars. Add eggs and vanilla and beat well.

Add flour, baking soda and salt alternately with mashed bananas. Fold in the nuts.

Bake in greased and floured pan at 350 degrees F for 50 minutes.

Lemon Pecan Bread Variation: Instead of bananas, substitute 3/4 cup water with 1/4 cup lemon juice and 1 teaspoon lemon peel.
