Ingredients:
- 2/3 cups - margarine
- 1 2/3 cups - sugar
- 3 - eggs
- 1 1/4 cups - mashed bananas
- 2 1/4 cups - flour
- 1 1/4 teaspoons - baking powder
- 1 1/4 teaspoons - baking soda
- 1 teaspoons - salt
- 2/3 cups - buttermilk
- 2/3 cups - chopped nuts
- 1 cups - packed brown sugar
- 1/2 cups - margarine melted
- 1/4 cups - milk
- 3 cups - sifted confectioners' sugar
Directions:
For Cake:
Cream margarine and sugar until light and fluffy; blend in eggs and banana. Add combined dry ingredients to c reamed mixture alternately with buttermilk, mixing well after each addition. Stir in nuts.
Pour into greased and floured 13-x-9-inch baking pan. Bake at 350 degrees F for 45 to 50 minutes or until wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool. Frost.
For Frosting:
Combine brown sugar, margarine and milk in saucepan; bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Remove from heat; cool 10 minutes. Gradually add confectioners' sugar, beating until well blended.
