Baked Tomato Halves

Ingredients:

  1. 2 - large tomatoes
  2. 4 tablespoons - butter or margarine
  3. 1/4 cups - finely chopped onion
  4. 1 teaspoons - prepared mustard
  5. 1/2 teaspoons - Worcestershire sauce
  6. 2 slices - white bread torn into coarse crumbs
  7. 2 teaspoons - chopped parsley

Directions:

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Wash tomatoes; remove stems. Cut in half crosswise. Place, cut sides up, in shallow baking pan.

In 2 tablespoons hot butter in skillet, saute onion until tender. Stir in mustard and Worcestershire. Spread over tomatoes.

Melt remaining butter in skillet. Add bread crumbs and parsley; sprinkle over tomatoes.

Bake, uncovered, for 20 minutes or until heated through and crumbs are golden brown.
