Ingredients:
- 1/4 cups - flour
- 1/4 cups - brown sugar packed
- 1 1/2 tablespoons - cold butter
- 1/2 teaspoons - ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoons - allspice or ground cloves
- 1/4 cups - pecans toasted, chopped
- 3 - anjou pears peeled, cut in half lengthwise
- 1/3 cups - apple juice
- 1 1/2 tablespoons - apple brandy or plain brandy
Directions:
In small bowl, combine all streusel ingredients except pecans, cutting in the butter with a fork or pastry blender until mixture resembles coarse meal. Stir in pecans.
Use a melon baller or spoon to scoop out core of each pear half. Spoon streusel evenly into pear halves. Place pear halves, cut side up, in a baking dish. Pour apple juice and brandy into dish over pears. Cover dish with foil. Bake at 375 degrees F for 30 minutes.
Uncover and bake an additional 5 minutes.
Serve pears warm with ice cream or whipped cream on side or over top. Drizzle evenly with cooking liquid.
