Notes:
You can also cook this in the crockpot for about 2 hours. If you can't find Ranch style beans, then use chili beans.

Number of Servings:
Ingredients:
- 1 1/2 pounds - lean ground beef
- 2 cups - chopped white OR yellow onion
- 2 cloves - garlic chopped
- 1 tablespoons - butter
- 3 cans - 15 oz Ranch style beans
- 1 cans - 15.4 oz. whole kernel corn undrained
- 1 cans - 15.5 oz. Bush's white hominy drained
- 1 cans - 14.5 oz. diced tomatoes
- 1 cans - 4 oz. chopped green chiles
- - salt and fresh ground black pepper to your taste (I use 2 teaspoons salt)
- - a little bit of cayenne red pepper optional, for extra spice
Directions:
1. In a large skillet melt butter on medium-high heat and then add chopped onion and garlic. Cook, stirring often, until softened and then add ground beef. Continue to cook and stir until no longer pink; drain excess fat.
2. In a large soup-pot combine all ingredients. Bring to a slow bubble and then simmer for 30-45 minutes, stirring occasionally. Allow to set about 30 minutes before serving so that flavors blend well.
Suggested condiments: tortillas, tortilla chips, chopped onion, green onion, sour cream, shredded cheese, radishes, cilantro, jalapeno pepper, cornbread
