Notes:
The dough is easy to work with. Make pies in aluminum pie plates to fit easily into gallon freezer bags. Simply pull out of freezer and bake at 375F for about one hour when ready to use. Even after a year in freezer the pies will still taste good with a flaky crust and moist filling.

Ingredients:
- 4 cups - flour
- 2 cups - shortening
- 1 cups - water
- 1 cups - brown sugar
- 1 1/2 teaspoons - cinnamon
- 1 cups - white sugar
- 1 dashes - salt
- 1/4 cups - flour
- 4 quarts - apples peeled, sliced
Directions:
Crusts:
Cut shortening into flour with a pastry blender. Add water and mix. Line three pie pans, reserving half of pastry for tops of pie.
Filling:
Stir together all ingredients except apples. Pour over apples and mix well (preferably with both hands). Place filling, slightly mounded, in pastry-lined pans. Dot with margarine. Cover with top crust and flute edges. Place in freezer bag. Once frozen, pies may be stacked.
