Apple Crumb Pie

For pie - combine apples with sugar and cinnamon and mix gently to cover apples well. Place chilled pie crust into pie pan, pressed firmly to bottom and edges, and pinch (or flute) edges around top edge for decoration. Pour apple mixture into chilled crust.
For crumb topping: combine flour, brown sugar, salt and butter; blend with pastry blender or crumble with fingers until mixture is blended well and is coarse.
Sprinkle crumb topping over apples. Bake at 375 degrees F until apples are tender and topping is lightly browned, about 50 minutes.
Serve with vanilla ice cream for an especially tasty treat!
