Ingredients:
- 1 - unbaked pie shell
- 4 - large firm red cooking apples
- 2 tablespoons - lemon juice
- 1 cups - brown sugar
- 3 tablespoons - all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoons - cinnamon
- 1 cups - heavy cream
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Fit one 9-inch unbaked pie shell into a quiche pan and set aside.
Peel and slice apples. Place in a bowl and coat with lemon juice.
Mix brown sugar, flour and cinnamon in a small bowl.
Drain lemon juice from apples and place them, rounded side up, in the pie shell. Sprinkle apples with 3/4 cup of the brown sugar mixture.
Pour cream over pie and sprinkle with remaining brown sugar mixture.
Bake 60 to 70 minutes or until crust is nicely browned. Remove from oven and allow to stand for at least 30 minutes. Serve warm.
