Apple Cinnamon Swirl Bread

  1. 1 packages - yeast
  2. 1 1/4 cups - warm water
  3. 1 - egg
  4. 1 boxes - white cake mix
  5. 1 teaspoons - salt
  6. 3 1/2 cups - flour
  7. 2 1/2 cups - apples peeled, diced finely
  8. 1/3 cups - sugar
  9. 4 tablespoons - melted butter
  10. - cinnamon


Dissolve yeast in warm water. Add egg, cake mix, salt, and flour; mix thoroughly until dough is smooth.

Cover and let dough rise until double (about 1 hour).

Combine chopped apples with sugar in a small bowl.

Roll dough out to 1/4 inch thickness on floured surface. Spread with melted butter; cover with apple mixture and sprinkle with cinnamon.

Roll up as a jelly roll and place in greased loaf pan. Cover and let rise again for 30 minutes.

Bake at 325 degrees F for 55-60 minutes, lightly covering top with a piece of aluminum foil after 35 minutes to keep top from browning too much.

Brush top with melted butter (if desired) and allow to cool.
