Apple and Pear White Wine Sangria

  1. 1 bottles - fruity white wine or moscato
  2. 1/2 cups - brandy
  3. - zest from 2 lemons
  4. 1/4 cups - superfine sugar
  5. 1/4 cups - fresh lemon juice from 2 lemons
  6. 1 - golden delicious or granny smith apple halved, cored, thinly sliced
  7. 1 - bartlett pear cored, halved, thinly sliced
  8. 1 cans - seltzer 12 ounces


In a large pitcher combine wine, brandy, lemon zest and sugar. Stir until sugar dissolves. Add remaining ingredients, except seltzer and ice cubes, and mix well.
Place pitcher in the refrigerator for 1 to 4 hours to allow flavors to meld.
Just before serving, add ice cubes and stir briskly to distribute fruit, then top off with seltzer.
