All Bran Muffins (Aunt Beulah)

Ingredients:

  1. 2 cups - All Bran cereal
  2. 1 cups - shortening
  3. 2 1/2 cups - sugar
  4. 4 - eggs
  5. 1 quarts - buttermilk
  6. 5 cups - flour
  7. 5 teaspoons - baking soda
  8. 1 1/2 teaspoons - salt
  9. 4 cups - bran buds or 100% bran flakes cereal

Directions:

Pour 2 cups boiling water over All Bran cereal.

Cream together sugar and shortening. Add beaten eggs, wet All bran, and buttermilk.

Combine flour, baking soda and salt. Mix with wet ingredients.

Stir in Bran flakes.

Fill muffin cups ¾ full. Bake at 375 for 15 minutes.
