Ingredients:
- 2 cups - flour a little more or less, depending on dough consistency
- 1 packages - RapidRise yeast
- 1 1/2 teaspoons - sugar
- 3/4 teaspoons - salt
- 2/3 cups - very warm water very warm, but NOT hot
- 3 tablespoons - oil
- 3/4 cups - pizza sauce
- 1 1/2 cups - shredded mozzarella cheese
- - other pizza toppings as desired
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees F. Combine half of flour with the yeast, sugar, and salt in a large bowl.
2. Add the very warm water and the oil; mix ingredients together until well blended.
3. Gradually add the rest of flour 1/2 cup at a time, stirring, until the dough forms a ball. Add additional flour, if needed, in order to handle dough. Spoon the dough onto a floured surface (dough will be slightly sticky).
4. Knead the dough until it is smooth and elastic; about 4 minutes. Cover with a kitchen towel and let rest for 10 minutes.
5. Roll out the dough; press dough into a greased pizza pan. Top with pizza sauce, cheese and toppings.
6. Bake on the lowest rack of oven for 12-15 minutes, until the crust browns.
