Ingredients:

  1. 1 packages - 18 oz. German chocolate cake mix
  2. 3/4 cups - melted butter
  3. 2/3 cups - evaporated milk divided
  4. 1 packages - 6 oz. semi-sweet chocolate chips
  5. 1 cups - walnuts
  6. 1 bags - 14 oz. light caramels

Directions:

Preheat oven to 350° F.

Combine cake mix, butter and 1/3 cup of evaporated milk. Spread half of mixture into lightly greased 9-x-13-inch pan. Bake for 6 minutes.

Meanwhile, combine caramels with remaining 1/3 cup of evaporated milk in a sauce pan. Heat, stirring, until caramels are melted.

Remove cake from oven and sprinkle chocolate chips and nuts onto base.

Drizzle caramel over cake; crumble remaining cake mixture on top and bake 20 minutes.

Cut when cool.
