Notes:
I like to use Butter Crisco for the pie crust for that extra flavor! Also, in Grandma Vera's notes - she said she likes to use Dream Whip that comes in a box because it is much better.

Ingredients:
- 2/3 cups - Sugar
- 3 tablespoons - Corn Starch
- 8 ounces - 7 Up
- 1 tablespoons - Butter
- 1 cups - Flour
- 1/2 teaspoons - Salt
- 2 teaspoons - Sugar
- 1/3 cups - Shortening/Butter Crisco
- 3 tablespoons - Milk
- 1 containers - Cool Whip
- - Strawberries
Directions:
Heat oven to 375°. Start with the pie crust. Mix flour, sugar, salt and cut in the shortening until it resembles crumbs. Stir in the milk with a fork. Add a little flour or milk until desired consistency - not too dry and not too sticky to handle. Roll out on floured surface and fit to a 9in. pie plate. Bake pie crust until lightly browned. Cool.
While the crust is baking, combine the sauce ingredients in a saucepan - sugar, cornstarch and 7 Up - stir on medium heat 'til thick. Remove from heat and stir in butter. Set aside to cool.
Slice strawberries in half. After sauce and crust are completely cool, spread half of the sauce on the pie crust, place strawberries on top of sauce. Cover strawberries with remaining sauce and top with Cool Whip. Chill. Absolutely delicious!
