Shrimp Scampi

  1. 3/4 pounds - medium-size raw shrimp shelled, deveined
  2. 6 tablespoons - butter or margarine
  3. 1 tablespoons - minced green onion
  4. 1 tablespoons - olive oil or salad oil
  5. 4 cloves - garlic minced or pressed
  6. 2 teaspoons - lemon juice
  7. 1/4 teaspoons - salt
  8. 2 tablespoons - minced parsley
  9. 1/4 teaspoons - grated lemon peel
  10. dashes - liquid hot pepper seasoning


Pat shrimp dry with paper towels; set aside.
Melt butter in a wide frying pan over medium heat. Stir in green onions, oil, garlic, lemon juice, and salt; cook until bubbly.
Add shrimp to pan and cook, stirring occasionally, until shrimp turn pink (4-5 minutes). Stir in parsley, lemon peel, and hot pepper seasoning.
