    Feel free to change up the spices, omitting or adding to your liking. Salt brightens the flavor but if you’d prefer to skip the salt you might try replacing up to 3 Tsps of the water with apple cider or any other vinegar. We enjoy spicy food - if you like it milder you’ll want to reduce the amount of pepper but don’t entirely eliminate it as it increases the nutritional benefits of the Turmeric.

  1. 2/3 cups - Red lentil flour
  2. 1 1/2 cups - Water
  3. 1/4 teaspoons - Turmeric
  4. 1/2 teaspoons - Onion powder
  5. 1/2 teaspoons - Garlic powder
  6. 1/2 teaspoons - Smoked paprika
  7. 1/4 teaspoons - Black pepper
  8. 1/4 teaspoons - Salt


Mix all ingredients in a bowl using a wisk and let sit for 10 to 15 min to thicken. Heat a non stack pan over medium low heat . Stir mixture again before using a small ladle to pour about 1/3 cup of batter into hot pan and tilt pan to spread the batter over a larger circle. Let it cook for a few minutes as bubbles appear and pop
(like making pancakes) . Carefully flip to cook the other side. When it’s done remove to cool on a rack or a plate to serve while still warm.
