Quiche Lorraine

Ingredients:

  1. 1 - 8-inch deep dish pie shell
  2. 4 slices - crisp bacon chopped
  3. 1 - onion thin sliced
  4. 8 slices - ham cut into thin strips
  5. 1/2 pounds - to 3/4 lb. grated Swiss cheese
  6. 3 - eggs
  7. 1/4 teaspoons - dry mustard
  8. 1 cups - light cream
  9. - nutmeg for sprinkling on top

Directions:

Bake the pie shell at 400 degrees F for 10 minutes.

Cook bacon until crisp; remove. Add onion and saute. Spread over bottom of pie crust.

Add ham and top with cheese.

Beat eggs, mustard and cream together; pour over all. Sprinkle with a tiny bit of nutmeg.

Bake at 350 degrees F until custard is set (about 30 minutes).
