Ingredients:

  1. 2 cups - warm water
  2. 1 1/2 tablespoons - sugar
  3. 1 teaspoons - salt
  4. 1 packages - yeast (1/4 oz.)
  5. 4 1/2 cups - to 5 cups flour
  6. 2 tablespoons - to 6 tablespoons additional flour
  7. 2 tablespoons - vegetable oil
  8. - oil for frying
  9. - confectioners' sugar
  10. 2 cups - warm water

  13. 1 packages - yeast (1/4 oz.)
  14. 4 1/2 cups - to 5 cups flour
  15. 2 tablespoons - to 6 tablespoons additional flour
  16. 2 tablespoons - vegetable oil
  17. - oil for frying
  18. - confectioners' sugar

Directions:

Combine water, sugar, salt and yeast; dust with 1/8 teaspoon flour and let sit for 15 minutes.

Add 2 tablespoons oil and 4-1/2 cups flour and mix. Cover, let sit for 10 minutes.

Oil fingertips and add 2-6 tablespoons flour; cover, let rise 2 hours.

Oil in skillet 2/3 up side of pan; heat.

Pull dough into pieces; fry. Sprinkle with sugar.
