Peanut Butter Bars

Ingredients:

  1. Peanut Butter Bars
  2. 1 cups - Butter, softened
  3. 1 cups - Sugar
  4. 1 cups - Brown sugar
  5. 1 teaspoons - Vanilla extract2
  6. 2 - Eggs
  7. 2 1/2 cups - Peanut Butter
  8. 2 cups - Rolled oats
  9. 2 cups - Flour
  10. 1 teaspoons - Baking soda
  11. 1 teaspoons - Salt
  12. Frosting
  13. 1/4 cups - Milk
  14. 4 ounces - Chocolate wafers
  15. 2 tablespoons - Cocoa powder
  16. 1 teaspoons - Vanilla extract
  17. 2 cups - Powdered sugar

Directions:

Preheat oven to 350.

In a large bowl, cream together butter, sugar, and brown sugar together. Add vanilla, eggs, and 1 cup of peanut butter; stir to combine. Add oats, flour, baking soda, and salt; mix until well combined. Spread dough in an even layer on the bottom of a cookie sheet.

Bake for 15 mins.

Drop remaining peanut butter by very small spoonfuls all over on top of warm bars. Let set for about 5-6 minutes and gently spread when peanut butter has begun to melt.

Warm milk on stovetop until hot. Add chocolate wafers to mixing bowl; pour hot milk on top of wafers. Let sit for 10 minutes. Whip together the milk and chocolate until smooth. Add vanilla and cocoa powder; whip until combined. Mix powdered sugar in, little bit at a time.

Spread finished frosting on top of bars. Let set for 20 minutes before serving.
