  1. 4 ounces - Laphroaig Scotch
  2. 2 ounces - fresh lime juice
  3. 1 1/2 ounces - simple syrup
  4. 1/4 ounces - absinthe
  5. 2 sprigs - fresh mint garnish
  6. -


Makes 2 cocktails:

(1) prepare simple syrup by boiling equal parts water and sugar until dissolved - allow to cool
(2) prepare fresh lime juice - roughly 2-3 limes will suffice
(3) in a mixing glass pour 4 oz of Laphroaig, followed by 2 oz of lime juice, and 1.5 oz of simple syrup and 1/4 oz of absinthe
(4) add ice cube and swirl until cooled (do not shake)
(5) filter off cooled liquid to a glass containing crushed ice
(6) place a spring of mint in your hand and smack it with your other hand and then place as garnish in drink
(7) enjoy!
