Ingredients:
- 6 - slices of bacon, diced
- 4 - sticks of celery, diced
- 1 - medium onion, diced *can also use 6 green onions
- 2 tablespoons - minced garlic
- 2 cans - sweet kernel corn, drained
- 6 - medium red or golden potatoes, diced
- 2 cups - half and half
- 5 cups - water
- 3 cubes - Knorr chicken bouillon (in the box)
- 6 - slices of bacon, diced
- 4 - sticks of celery, diced
- 1 - medium onion, diced *can also use 6 green onions
- 2 tablespoons - minced garlic
- 2 cans - sweet kernel corn, drained
- 6 - medium red or golden potatoes, diced
- 2 cups - half and half
- 5 cups - water
- 3 cubes - Knorr chicken bouillon (in the box)
Directions:
*If using a crock pot, do the following steps on the stove top first then transfer to crockpot
1. Cook the diced bacon until crispy
2. Add the onion, celery, and garlic until softened
3. Then add the water, corn, bullion, and potato
4. (Transfer to crockpot) or cover and cook on low until potato is soft
5. If adding meat, do this now
6. Add the half and half 30 minutes prior to serving, allow to come to a slow boil. This will prevent curdling and sticking to pot
7. If you want it a bit thicker, mix a little corn starch with cold milk, blend together and then add to pot
