For gluten free, substitute gluten free cup-for-cup flour instead of regular flour. For low-sodium, consider low sodium chicken broth and/or unsalted butter. Use double the butter if cream cheese isn't available.

Ingredients:
- 3 tablespoons - butter
- 3 ounces - cream cheese softened at room temp
- 2 tablespoons - flour
- 1 cups - chicken broth
- 1 cups - milk
Directions:
1. Melt butter and cream cheese in medium sauce pan over medium-low heat.
2. When melted, whisk in flour slowly and continuously until smooth and bubbly.
3. Slowly whisk in the chicken broth and milk.
4. Whisk constantly while bringing to a gentle boil until the soup thickens.
5. Add salt and pepper to taste.
